Single Line Diagrams a often used by engineers in the industry to define and describe a large electrical network. Such a network comprises of components like generators, transformers, busbars etc. interconnected in different circuits. A typical setup is a power distribution substation. When such networks are designed, the electrical engineers need to perform certain analysis on them to establish the validity of the design. Two such analysis techniques are the "Load Flow Analysis" and the "Fault Analysis". The Single Line Diagram Editor and Analyser is a package developed fully with Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 that aids the electrical engineer in creating a Single Line Diagram, documenting and printing it and finally perform both load flow and fault analysis on the network. The results of the analysis are displayed back graphically on the Single Line Diagram. The application features a rich set of tools to create the Single Line Diagram with option to zoom a portion of the diagram, create sub-systems of the Single Line Diagram in order to reduce its complexity, copy and paste selected portions of the diagram etc. It also implements serialisation to save the created diagrams into files and also provides extensive printing facilities. click here for sample screen shot
