Antisway Remote Crane
Control System is a venture into simplifying the operation of domestic and
industrial cranes and make their operation efficient and safe for the operator.
It consists of a Hand Held Operator unit with buttons or Joysticks to control
the motion of cranes, a receiver unit with an electronic controller for
receiving commands from the Hand Held Unit and executing them under safety
interlocks. Optionally this controller runs an "Antisway" algorithm
patented by Smartcrane, Inc. USA to
control the motion of the crane with negligible sway.
The Antisway algorithm and
the control logic is implemented as an embedded control on a Real Time Operating
System. The system involves
1. Running of control logic and the Antisway Algorithm in Closed Loop
2. Simultaneous control of 3 motions with drive
3. Communication to PC Ethernet TCP/IP for Man Machine Interface
4. Fault Monitoring
The control logic and
the algorithm are implemented in C/C++ and the
